But writers have been boxed for many year...I agree. But writers have been boxed for many years, mostly because of the marketplace. It's a lot like musicians. Are your rock or punk? Jazz or progressive rock? Why label? Because it's easier to sell. But maybe we should simply make a category for "good story" --- "good read" and leave it at that. :) David W. I believe one of the privileges a ...Love this post! I believe one of the privileges a writer has, or any artist really, is that there are no limits, labels or guidelines. The canvas is wide open to create. And why not mix up the writing with fiction and personal essay, the painting with charcoal and oils, the music with jazz and rock? The bonus is what is revealed.
